Hi, old minor league baseball fans

This infrequent blog will post old items on the Western International League, a Class B (later Class A) circuit that existed from 1937 to 1954. The League collapsed after it lost Spokane and Calgary in mid-season and Victoria in early August, then re-formed as the Northwest League, under which name it operates today. Its forerunners had various names, such as the Northwestern League, the Pacific Coast International League and the Pacific Northern League.

Enjoy!

Addendum on July 21, 2008:
This project morphed into something I didn't quite expect. I am doing a day-by-day on each WIL season from 1946 to 1954. Each year will have a seperate blog. Just click on the year in the right-hand column.
1946 will be housed on the main page for now.
