TACOMA, July 20 — A five-run outburst in the fourth inning gave Tacoma all the tallies it needed for victory over Victoria Saturday night but it kept piling them on to add up a 10-4 decision in the Western International league argument.
The triumph gave Tacoma a 7-6 edge in its current two-week brush with the tail-enders and a 5-1 advantage for this week. They wind up the extended home-and-home programme with a double-bill tomorrow.
Victoria collected two unearned runs in the top of the fourth to go in front by 2-1, only to have the game explode in their face. A walk, an error, three singles and a three-run double by Bob Joratz accounted for the five Tacoma counters in the fourth-frame cluster.

PORTLAND, July 20—Portland Beavers, scrambling around in seventh place in the Coast League and only a step out of the cellar, have recalled shortstop Wally Flager and George Vico, clouting first sacker, from the Salem Senators, it was announced yesterday.
In return, the Beavers shipped Eddie Wheeler, former Cleveland Indians infielder, and outfielder Danny Escobar to the Western International League club. Both are experienced players and their acquisition should strengthen the Senators in their attempts to hold on to the league's top berth
