SPOKANE, July 29 — The Spokane Indians tonight countered a ninth-inning Victoria home run with a winning extra-inning single to squeeze out a 4-3 victory in a Western International League game.
Lou Kubiak, Spokane shortstop, hit safely in the last half of the tenth inning to bring in Milt Cadinha with the winning marker after Swede Jensen had poled out a homer in the ninth to tie the score.
Aided by a home run by Bill Dunn, Victoria scored rwo runs in the second innning, but trailed after the sixth when Spokane scored three runs on one hit, three walks and an error.

BREMERTON, July 29 — Even the umpire and scorekeeper paid tonight to see Yakima defeat Bremerton, 7-4, in a Western International League baseball game.
The proceeds of the benefit contest will go to the fund of the families of the Spokane players killed in last month's bus crash. The game drew 2,000 persons at $1 apiece.
