NO GAMES PLAYED
Leaves Athletics
[Victoria Colonist, June 11, 1946]
Ian “Ace” Lowe, former star third sacker of the V.M.D. baseball club, who took a whir at the professional variety of the diamond sport this year with the Victoria Athletics of the W.I.B.L., has been released, it was announced last night by Reg Patterson, business manager.
Lowe went to Spring training camp with the club and was the regular hot-corner guardian until the advent of Beans Marionetti. Although fielding his position well, Lowe failed to hit up to his usual form.
Although no definite announcement has yet been made it is rumored that he will join Bakersfield in the California State League or a club in the Pioneer League.
