Hartje Holds on to Life

Injured Man Still Critical
SEATTLE —Chris Hartje, 30, member of the ill-fated Spokane Western International league baseball club, remained in critical condition at King county hospital Wednesday from injuries suffered in the bus crash that claimed eight of his teammates.
Glen Berg, 24, Spokane, driver of the bus and believed to hold the key to the cause of the accident thus far has been too badly injured to talk.
George Lyden, 22, pitcher for the club, succumbed Tuesday afternoon at King County hospital. He was the eighth to die.
